We are a community with a mission! God has given a passion in our hearts (conviction) and clear direction from His Word (commission) as to the purpose of our church. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 "We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labour, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me." Colossians 1:28-29 ROCKPOINTE MISSION: We are dedicated to helping people become followers of Jesus Christ. As we go about our mission, we aim to bring great pleasure to God by making disciples who are mature and complete in Christ (Fully Devoted Followers). We are on task everyday that we help another person find faith in Christ and grow in Him. ROCKPOINTE VISION: To be a community of people who are - passionately devoted to God, deeply committed to one another and relentlessly focused on the lost. Our dream is to be the purest reflection of Jesus our people have ever known and our city has ever seen. This is a vision of God with us, flowing in love between us and overflowing beyond us to those who do not yet know Him. We aim to better extend the life and love of Jesus to an ever increasing number of Calgarians through creative evangelism and starting new congregations as extensions of what God is already doing in our midst. Our prayer is that someday we will have influenced thousands of irreligious people to establish a responsible and rewarding relationship with God through Jesus Christ. |
