Chris Elford - Chair

Chris Elford serves as Chair liaison on the Elders Board.  Chris is married to Kim and they have three children: Ian, Michelle and Shauna. Ian is married to Jana. Both of them graduated from Ambrose University College and are now studying at the University of Alberta. Michelle is in her last semester at Briercrest College, and Shauna is currently completing her Grade 12 year. Chris was a student for many years and has his Bachelor of Education, Masters of Divinity, Masters of Education, and PhD degrees. He likes to run, read, travel and play with computers.

Joanne Janzen - Secretary

Joanne Janzen serves as the Secretary of the Elders Board which also includes the portfolio of Communication.   Joanne has been married to Brian for 24 years and they have three children – Jillian (13), Danielle (9) and Andrew (3).  She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce and worked in financial administration positions until Jillian was born.  Since then, she has been a stay at home mom enjoying any spare time by reading for the two book clubs she belongs to, travelling with her family, baking and volunteering at the church.

Murray Moore - Treasurer

Murray Moore serves as the Treasurer on the Elders Board. Murray has been married to Joan for 35 years. His son Aaron and his wife Rlana are pastor’s at the Alliance Church in Penticton, BC. They are blessed with two grandchildren. Their daughter Kristy is a teacher here in Calgary. Murray is a chartered accountant and works as a Chief Financial Officer at a private oil & gas company. Murray has been involved with the Elders board, finance team and connection team for many years.  In his spare time he enjoys sports, travelling and working with Joan in their yard! 

Bob Marescaux - Personnel & Missions

 Bob Marescaux oversees Personnel & Missions on the Elders Board.  He and his wife Ruth have 3 adult children: 2 sons and 1 daughter. Todd lives in Seoul, Korea; Scott lives in Tokyo, Japan; and Lisa has returned to the family nest. Bob has taken training which allows him to teach and he has also worked as a Chartered Accountant. His main interest, however, is coaching soccer. He is currently self employed, operating a Financial Planning practice for individuals and small business owners.

Sean Miller - Prayer & Healing

Sean Miller serves in the area of Prayer and Healing on the Elders Board.  Sean has been married to Karen for more then ten years and they have two children, Ella & Jesse. Sean received his Masters of Science in Geology and is presently employed as a geologist by Taqa. Together he and his family enjoy anything outside including camping going to the park or working in the yard. Sean loves anything that keeps him active including cycling to work year round and playing squash through the fall and winter months.

Tim Moore - Membership & Communion - Bowridge Site

Tim Moore's role on the Elders Board is Membership, Communion and NCD-Insight Surveys for the Bowridge site.Tim and his wife Nancy have been married 26 years and have three children. He is currently employed by Ambrose University College as Associate Professor of Youth Ministry, Head of the Youth Ministry Department, and Director of Legacy Youth Conference. His formal education includes a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education, Masters of Arts in English Bible, and his Doctor of Ministry degree. His hobbies consist of golfing, reading, hockey, skiing, and hiking. 

Leagh Ramsden - Membership & Communion - Westhills Site

Leagh Ramsden’s  role on the Elders Board is Membership, Communion and NCD-Insight Surveys for the Westhills site. Leagh and Sherry have three children, Phil, Laura and Greg and have been married 39 years. After graduating from S.A.I.T. with a diploma in Business Administration, Leagh owned and managed several businesses before retiring. His time is now spent volunteering at the Westhills site as well as having administrative and board responsibilities with Camp Chamisall of the Western Canadian District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada. His hobbies include hiking, gardening and enjoying acreage living. 

Myrna Waddell - Membership & Communion - Bearspaw Site

Myrna Waddell’s  role on the Elders Board is Membership, Communion and NCD-Insight Surveys for the Bearspaw site.  Myra has been married to Ken for 34 wonderful years and have two sons, Matthew and Justin. Before children, Myrna's career was as an Administrative Secretary for a large oil company where she worked for many years. While working, she earned a certificate as a Certified Administrative Manager from the University of Calgary, which has served her well in her many volunteer positions. Since having her boys, she has been a stay at home Mom and now enjoys volunteering for the church and organizations she believes in.
