This is how things work at MetroMercy (MM) on Sundays:

6pm kicks off our worship gathering

This time is all about getting to know the people next to you, and becoming part of the family at MM.  We invite you to bring your dinner along with you – you don’t have to but we enjoy eating together, it’s kind of like a big family dinner.  We believe in keeping things simple, and every Sunday we all contribute by bringing our own food, and we will share with anybody who didn’t bring food or just simply forgot to, and we enjoy each other’s company. While this opening gathering time is less formal than most have come to expect from a church experience, it is part of the fabric of who we are – part of our culture at MetroMercy, and we all look forward to grabbing a bite to eat with you at MM.

We shift gears some time between 6:30pm and 7pm to our teaching and response time

We will watch a sermon on the big screen, share some stories from recent experiences serving in our community, pray together, read Scripture together - we seek to know God better as a community.  We often use music to worship and help turn our attention to Jesus, and at the end of the day, that’s really what we’re all about: we want to love God with everything.

And we wrap up around 8pm

We all pitch in and help pack up, and everyone is welcome to stick around and spend some time finding new friends, catching up with old ones, or debating the meaning of life… whatever suits you.
