| Kristi is currently working in Niger and continuing with her Fulfulde language study. Throughout this next year, she will commence the beginnings of a ministry which will take her into the lives of the Western Fulani in Niger. Kristi has collaborated with multiple organizations in the writing of a Fulfulde literacy primer book and will begin teaching a literacy course in the near future. Currently, because of the food crisis in Niger, Kristi is also involved in a grain distribution project for two Fulani villages. Kristi’s hope and prayer is that through this grain aid, she will become known in the village of Kodieri, so that she may be invited to the village to facilitate beginning the Community Health Education (CHE) program there. In addition to the development aid that her team desires to bring to this village, Kristi is looking to build deep friendships with the villagers so she can begin sharing Bible stories with them. Throughout Kristi’s day-to-day activities of going to language class and visiting her Fulani friends in town to practice her Fulfulde, she has also had the chance to visit a few villages with her team ministry. Kristi has joined dental and medical teams in their ministry at Teppe and Kodieri and has also spent some time in the village of Gorikieri, where her guard lives, distributing eyeglasses donated by RockPointe Church. |
