Through a sermon series on the 10 Commandments, RockPointe Church (RPC) felt called to make a commitment to assist mothers who would otherwise have been at risk of abortion, to bear their children.  As such, we entered into two formal partnerships with Christian agencies:  Calgary Pregnancy Care Centre (CPCC) and Emma Maternity House. As a result of our partnerships, 5% of all donations made to the RPC Compassion Fund will support CPCC and 1% will go to support Emma House.

The Calgary Pregnancy Care Centre offers free care to those impacted by crisis pregnancy, including pregnancy testing and option counseling, which provides accurate information about pregnancy, abortion, parenting and adoption.  They offer a wide variety of programs including a 24 hour crisis line, prenatal, parenting, abortion and post abortion counseling and support groups.

Emma Maternity House provides shelter and Christ centered support to pregnant women who need a safe place to live.  This is a viable option to abortion for pregnant women with no family or community support.  Moms are loved and cared for at Emma House during their pregnancy and up to 6 months after the birth of their babies while looking for permanent housing and employment.

Volunteers are a needed and valuable resource at these agencies.   There are many opportunities for RockPointe individuals and/or small groups to assist in meaningful ways. Please check the websites for each agency in order to connect with volunteer coordinators.
