Several safe and secure methods of giving provide convenient ways to offer our tithes and financially contribute to the sites of RockPointe Church.

  • Weekend services: Place cash or cheques in an offering envelope and then place them in the offering plate, an offering box, or a basket at any weekend service. Be sure to include your name and address on the cheque or envelope so that donation credit may be provided for tax purposes. Please also indicate on the offering envelope the fund to which you would like the offering applied.

  • Online giving: Online giving via the church website allows a specific dollar amount to be deducted automatically from a cheque or savings account using your credit or Visa debit card. You can set up online giving either as a one-time donation or a recurring gift. Online giving is not only easy but also safe and secure. This option helps individuals and families remain faithful in their giving even when they are out of town or unable to attend a weekend service.

  • Online bank giving: Giving through your bank’s website allows a specific dollar amount to be deducted automatically from a chequing or savings account by registering RockPointe as a “payee” (BMO, RBC, TD, CIBC, Tangerine, and Manulife). You will require an 8-digit account code which includes the first three letters of your last name, followed by a five-digit envelope number which will be assigned by our finance team. You can set up online giving either as a one-time donation or a recurring gift. Online giving is not only easy but also safe and secure. This option helps individuals and families remain faithful in their giving even when they are out of town or unable to attend a weekend service. Please ensure to advise our church financial administrator how you would like your donation designated.

  • E-transfer: You can now give by sending an e-transfer from your bank’s website to [email protected]. RockPointe is set up for auto-deposit, so no security question is required. All gifts will be directed to the Ministry Fund, or you can put a note in the ‘message’ section of your e-transfer providing instructions on how to apply your gifts.

  • Pre-Authorized giving: Pre-authorized giving via your bank allows a specific dollar amount to be deducted automatically from a cheque or savings account. Download the sign-up form, fill it out, and email it to [email protected].

  • By mail: Mail your donation to RockPointe’s Bearspaw Site at

    255024 Lochend Road
    Calgary, AB
    T3L 2R2

Be sure to include your name and address on the cheque or envelope so that donation credit may be provided for tax purposes. Designate the Fund to which you would like the offering applied.

  • Ministry Fund: This fund supports the work of RockPointe in Calgary and surrounding areas. It funds ministries such as our weekend services, RockPointe Kids, RockPointe Youth, Adult Ministries, Community Engagement, and RockPointe’s operations.

  • Compassion Fund: Donations to the Compassion Fund allow RockPointe to help those in our communities who are in need.

  • Missions Fund: The Mission Fund supports the work of RockPointe Church and its missionaries around the world, including:
    1. Helping our C&MA missionaries operating in cross-cultural settings overseas
    2. Helping our Canadian C&MA activities, and
    3. Funding our RockPointe global initiatives (including missionaries and partners).

  • Development Fund: Donations to the Development Fund are utilized to:
    1. Pre-pay any current long-term debt held by RockPointe
    2. Fund new capital needs, and
    3. To create a reserve for anticipated future capital projects (land or facilities).

  • Special funds: Periodically, opportunities to designate a donation to a specific ministry initiative become available. Our annual Thanksgiving Offering and specific Short Term Mission Trips are two examples of ministry-initiative funds with specific start and end dates. To designate your contribution to a specific fund, indicate the name of the initiative (e.g., Thanksgiving) on the other line of your offering envelope or online donation.

Many people find creative ways to make contributions to RockPointe’s ministries through non-cash gifts. Here are a few options to consider:

  • Publically listed securities (shares): For any publically traded stock or mutual fund that you donate, 0% of the capital gain on the shares that are donated will be taxable. This means that when you make a donation of shares to RockPointe, you do not need to declare as taxable income any of the capital gains that you would have otherwise included if you had sold the shares and given the cash proceeds instead. For additional information, email [email protected] or call (403) 851-0011.

  • Vehicle donations: RockPointe’s Car Exchange Ministry is committed to meeting the transportation needs of people who are unable to meet those needs themselves. When you donate your used car to the Car Ministry, you receive a tax deduction, and someone needing transportation receives the reliable transportation they have been praying for. Visit RockPointe’s “Need Help” page on our website for additional information, or call (403) 851-0011.

  • Other: Other giving options include life insurance, retirement assets, bequests, and charitable gift fund donations. For additional information, contact [email protected] or call (403) 851-0011.

Per CRA regulations, contributions for each year must be received or postmarked by December 31 of that year in order to receive a donation credit for that year's tax purposes. Please submit your online, mailed, or in-person donation accordingly.
